U.S. Department of Justice (Cyber Security Staff), Computer Security Systems. Responsible for the daily oversight of the Secure Configuration Management for over 30 DOJ components to include FBI, ATF, U.S. Marshalls, Interpol, Bureau of Prisons, and many others to ensure they meet the department's established security guidelines.

- Contractor support for the Department of Defense of DISN/GIG Flag Panel Secretariat.- Conducted research that focuses on rapidly emerging cyber warfare threats, and the methods and processes employed by adversary employment of cyber warfare techniques, as well as offensive capabilities.- Conducted engineering design and development to create technical capabilities that offer Cyber solutions to DoD Agency.- Assisted in providing oversight and work in concert with the four Mission Area Principal Accrediting Authorities (PAA), current DISN/GIG Flag Panel (to include representatives from DISA, DIA, NSA/CSS), Defense Information Assurance Security Accreditation Working Group (DSAWG), Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Technical Advisory Group (DIACAP TAG), Unified Cross Domain Management Office (UCDMO), Cross Domain Resolution Board (CDRB), and Cross Domain Technical Advisory Board (CDTAB).- Assisted the Chair in providing direction with respect to all the responsibilities outlined in CJCSI 6211.02C, Defense Information System Network (DISN): Policy and Responsibilities.- Recommended investments in hardware and software capabilities that will ensure cutting edge analysis and development of cyber warfare intrusion sets and TTP.

- Provided direct contractor support for the Department of Defense consisting of identifying, developing, and tracking operational requirements for Computer Network Defense (CND) tools and solutions in the areas of Situational Awareness, Incident Management, Network Configuration, and Security.- Developed and interpreted IA policies and procedures for CND tools and solutions. - Conducted requirement analysis and verification testing for IA CND tools and solutions. - Provided compliance verification and implementation guidance for the Host Based Security System (HBSS) across the Department of Defense enterprise.

- Assessed risks, developed procedures, provided security guidelines, conducted compliance reviews, and assured investigation of information security incidents.- Maintained a plan for site security improvements and progress towards meeting accreditation.- Ensured IS was certified and accredited IAW Joint and DoD policies.- Enforced security policies and safeguards on all personnel having access to IS, plus ensured audit trails were reviewed periodically, and audit records were archived for future reference.- Maintained and controlled an Information Security Awareness Program for IS Users IAW DoD and local policies.- Maintained the SecureWave Sanctuary Device Control to maintain device control on customer networks.

2780 - Recognized microcomputer operating systems (i.e. MS-DOS, Windows NT, UNIX, and Novell Netware) vulnerabilities and performed corrective actions to ensure maximum system availability. Assisted the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) with the System Security Plan (SSP) and systems accreditation in accordance with IN-225. Used commercial off the shelf software and operating system specific tools to perform virus protection and detection, system backups, data recovery, and auditing functions. Created, configured, and maintaind user and group accounts across multiple operating systems. Assessed protocol and proxy service vulnerabilities and their relation to firewalls. Developed and implementd solutions, with regard to protocol and proxy service vulnerabilities, guarding against hostile attempts of compromise or inadvertent disclosure of sensitive material. Verified and wrote Access Control Lists (ACL) and programs screening routers. 2318 - Coordinated complete processing of communications signals including satellite transmission and reception paths. Operated and controlled operation of long-haul and/or local communication equipment systems including cryptographic, transmitters, receivers, DC and audio frequency patch boards, and telegraphic terminal equipment. Maintained signal quality and determined point of signal deterioration through use of test equipment such as monitor teletypewriters, order wires, transmission distortion test sets, oscilloscopes, audio level and noise level meters, spectrum analyzers, and fleet satellite monitor. Analyzed quality control results to identify preventive or corrective action required. Restored communications by appropriate means. Prepared and maintaied circuit quality and outage logs and reports. Radioman (RM) - Operated the Navy's ELF, VLF, LF, HF, UHF, and SHF systems, particularly the tone-modulated radioteletype (RATT) equipment and associated peripheral equipment.
