All tasks, which were needed to run a standalone mixed-OS network for 27employees design center. The network had to run close to 24/7 because of thelong simulations and international data repositories.My main responsibilities were:* Maintaining several generations of Linux (Fedora, RHEL, CentOS), SunOSand Windows operating systems* Ensuring network services: DNS, DHCP, NFS, NIS, sendmail, Apache,SMB/CIFS, licenses, VMware, backups, revision control systems andDesignSync data repositories* Installing, repairing and upgrading hardware: switches, routers, WLAN,Ethernet, printers, PCs, laptops, workstations, servers, tape robots and UPSs* Maintaining the remote connections and Cisco VPN* Monitoring the network and servers by Wireshark, Nagios, GkrellM, DellOpenManage and self-made scripts* Network security and virus protection* Shell scripting* Maintaining user environments* Solving all network and computer based issues and user support cases

Our design team’s main products were high performance and power efficientTinyAVR 8-bit Flash Microcontroller families. In addition, we made mixedsignalblocks for the other design teams in San Jose, Trondheim, Nantes andChennai. I took part in dozens of different integration projects.
