o Implement a new organisational system to enable a more efficient system whilst preparing dosette trays for several nursing homes.o Improved my knowledge of using ProScript Connect to process, order and endorse scripts from GP surgeries or from the EPS.o Increased my exposure to customers to help resolve queries without consulting the pharmacist for minor ailments or collecting prescriptions.o Develop my attention to detail by learning from common mistakes made when creating several dosette trays for patients in care homes.

I have worked in various pharmacy placements during my degree including community, hospital and industry. From these experiences I have been able to learn the following:o About the teams who worked in the pharmacy; this included prescribing & clinical pharmacists, and technicians and the different responsibilities they held, highlighting the importance of working efficiently.o About Medicine Reconciliation on the Emergency Floor where I met with a team of Pharmacy Technicians and a Pharmacist. I was given the opportunity to sit in on two different medicine reconciliation consultations. This highlighted the importance of clear communication with patients.o About the Intensive Treatment Unit (ITU) and do ward rounds with a Band 8a pharmacist. The interventions on the ward ensured patients were helped at the earliest opportunity and changes to medication could be made before being discharged to another ward.o About working in an industrial environment which specialises in freeze drying including pharmaceutical products and developing knowledge about the different processes required to freeze dry a product.

o Ability to deal with difficult customers and customer queries in a professional manner.o Building strong working relationships with colleagues and management in the business.o Effectively managing work tasks during off peak times, proactively assisting colleagues in managing customers.o Developed good practice of effectively managing the flow of products from delivery to shop floor to ensure shop floor was fully replenished and in the correct area. This being another important transferable skill for Pharmacy.
