In this role I’ll be helping to create the founding operating models and cultural DNA for the new “global region” business unit at Visa to support these unique clients. I’ll be focused on strategy and planning, reporting and analytical insights development, thought leadership, executive business reviews, and other business operations activities.

* Led one of Visa’s largest and most high-profile change management projects for North America, migrating the entire Sales CRM from Salesforce to Microsoft Dynamics. Specifically, I was the project manager, presented to Global and NA leadership, collaborated with all our sales users, and drove business requirements and the architecture build out. * Led the effort to deliver standardized reporting, dashboards and pipeline visibility in Salesforce for all North America sales leads.* Led key annual account management processes such as account planning, and fielding and analyzing the global client survey.* Built relationships with key leaders inside each sales organization and embedded with their teams in order to better understand their business for the benefit of the entire NA market.

* Created the strategic and tactical operations plan during hypergrowth to maximize the impact of and establish governance for a 10x increase in budget from $1M to $10M.* Led the execution of a massive multi-channel awareness campaign reaching 40 million voters with a $5M budget by establishing clear goals and ensuring operational clarity with assigned ownership.* Developed the GTM and operations strategy for the productization of core IP including SaaS pricing, competitive analysis and automation for sales operations, marketing, legal, and technical support allowing 5% of a headcount be able to support $180k in annual revenue.* Developed a rigorous metric-based approach for all phases of operational execution from strategy planning to project completion, formalizing the data science function, and managing P/L. Established OKRs directly tied to business strategy to maximize impact and drive continuous improvement.* Institutionalized Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion hiring processes and grew the team 5x in just over a year adding admin, legal, communications, and fundraising functions to the organization.* Led the hiring and ramping of a temporary outreach staff of 902 employees in two time zones by establishing clear operational goals, systems, and hiring exceptional managers.* Held ownership for the execution of the strategic vision including staffing, finance, legal, marketing, HR, and operational plans.

I guided Netroots Nation from a volunteer-run organization to an internationally recognized brand. Our work influenced some of the Democratic party’s most powerful leaders such as Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, as well as organizers who speak for millions of members daily. Accomplishments under my leadership included:* Secured unpaid speaking commitments from A-list thought leaders including President Barack Obama, President Bill Clinton, Vice President Joe Biden, Vice President Al Gore, Secretary Hillary Clinton, Senator Elizabeth Warren, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Nobel Laureates.* Produced multi-day major annual events growing from 500 to 3,000 attendees annually managing the budget, recruitment and management of hundreds of volunteers, permits, vendors, facilities, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors, communications, and promotion.* Developed a transformational business plan with an operational plan to increase impact focusing on increasing revenue, staffing, and strategic execution.* Led the organization towards hypergrowth increasing revenue by 5X within the first year and doubling revenue YoY for the next two years by expanding strategic partners and developing a pricing model that optimized revenue while increasing engagement.* Developed sponsorship models and effective recommit sales strategies to establish a retention rate to 95%.* Partnered with the Board of Directors to ensure consistent focus on the mission, establish bold and impactful OKRs, and support the needs of the business.* Represented the organization in hundreds of TV, print, and radio interviews.* Led the industry in achieving unparalleled speaker diversity. In my last year as executive director, our speakers were 65% women and 65% people of color, a benchmark that helped ensure that critical views were centered in our programming.

* Served as an engineering lead to Product Management, refining the SaaS EMR application product roadmap in line with Agile practices, scoping and clarifying features, and partnering with engineering management to create a resource plan.* Ensured that all features provided clear support and functionality for HIPAA compliance.* Oversaw product quality in the release process by validating that functionality fulfilled product requirements and met all UI/UX design standards.* Led the implementation of modern web design best practices within the engineering team including CSS, writing clean code, reducing technical debt, and secure coding practices.

* Transformed support operations to increase efficiency and improve the customer experience through selecting and implementing a ticket system, knowledgebase, customer enhancement request tracking, and escalation processes.* Led customer implementations of the asset tracking software in the US and internationally.

* Led teams and worked as an individual contributor on enterprise CRM projects with complex data conversion and interface requirements serving Compaq/HP, Applied Materials, AT&T Wireless, LA Department of Water & Power, WorldComm, and Echostar.*Executed business process mapping projects to understand CRM operational needs and ensure that the system met all SalesOps requirements.
