Current- Perform desk and field audit work for the Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) Examination for the state Medicaid agencies of Nevada and Virginia to ensure compliance with CMS Final Rule- Review grouping of hospital claims charges and patient days to the appropriate cost centers for costing purposes- Perform analytical procedures to evaluate for reasonableness of costs and assess risk including preparing a comparison of costs year-over-year, calculating risk thresholds, and reviewing trial balance and audited financial statements to ensure completeness of information- Analyzing Medicaid Patient Fund Account histories using claims data to detect fraud or mismanagement of funds within skilled nursing facilities.- Data analysis in Excel: summarizing data, pivoting data, filtering data, data mining for duplicates and non-allowable claims for expanded testing
