Currently teach Digital Media course at South Oak Cliff High School. I get my motivation from meeting the many scholars that have been disadvantage up until freshman year in high school. My purpose is to expose them to possibilities and endless opportunities. Since being apart of the Career and Technical Education department on campus, I have certified scholars in Microsoft Office Specialist. This year scholars will learn a curriculum to become certified in Adobe PhotoShop.Since starting at SOC, I have rebranded the school's yearbook and social marketing presence. What started with a group of none, I now have more than twenty scholars in the yearbook club. Scholars get the opportunity to learn digital photography and desktop publisher. Experience is not required. I am also the sponsor of the first cosmetology club and fashion club on campus. Amongst the many clubs, I have also coordinated events for Homecoming, Black History Month and Hispanic Heritage Month. Community relations include organizing an annual charity drive for 80+ homeless scholars enrolled at SOC's campus. Those identified and their families receive gifts from campus departments.
