Business partnering responsibilities.• Set up and lead the project accounting for major organisation transformation journey. This involved development of spend trackers, review of accounting treatments and maintaining key information that supported critical audit requirements. • Key business partner to Transformation executive to give visibility on transformation costs. This enabled monthly analysis of actual spend vs budget for the project, and action to be taken to bring costs within budget at an Exec level.• Supported the build out of a new FP&A function including bottom up driver-based budget models, with buy in from costs centre managers and influence of key spend assumptions• Revised the management accounting hierarchy to deliver more insightful reporting including documented coding guidance• Automated monthly reporting using Velixo reporting tool for MYOB that enabled monthly analysis of actual vs budget for expenses

This resulted in the improvement in the quality of analysis for the Marketing and Executive Team, including product offers and / or category overlays, credit overlays, Fly Buys, and direct marketing offers. • Partnered with Marketing team to predict return of investment of suggested promotions and campaigns and influenced decisions in the quarterly meeting. • Led the turnaround of the profitability of the warranty category.• Partnered with external finance providers (GE and Finance Now) to ensure the highest possible returns for the business.• Automated Business Objects reporting. This improved the speed of distribution of key analysis, and saved approximately five hours of analysis time a week.

Reported to Senior Commercial Analyst.Key Achievements:• Completed store development feasibilities, post implementation reviews, store performance reviews and store closure analysis, to ensure the business was getting an appropriate return on investment. • Formulation of a property strategy, based on estimated appliance spend, allowed the business to identify areas where they were under or over represented, and make the appropriate investment decision. Automation of key reports using Business Objects, to provide analysis by company, brand, product and store, for weekly sales meeting. This saved one hour of analysis time a week.
