This work involves extensive modeling, design and analysis using CATIA V5, and Abaqus. • Reverse Engineering of a Composite Rotor Blade for a mini-Helicopter.Development of a composite rotor blade of a mini helicopter by reverse engineering a commercially available blade. This includes 3-D scanning of the blade and obtaining a detailed 3-D CAD model from the scanning data using CATIA V5. The CAD model is used to determine the structural properties of the blade and carry out structural analysis. A composite blade, similar to the commercial blade, is manufactured by using the structural properties obtained using the CAD model.• Supervised the manufacturing of the reverse engineered rotor blade using carbon fiber.
