As Regional Director, NIOS (National Institute of Open schooling), Regional Center, Chennai-5 since Feb.2013 looking after the admission and conduct of examination for class X & XII including vocational trades for the state of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry (U T).I have been advocating on this alternate schooling to reach the unreached which has touched life of many and the visibility of NIOS has improved considerably.

Accomplishments:1. Won Computer literacy Excellency Award -2005 from Min. of IT for JNV shimoga with the price amount of Rs.8.5 lakhs which was utilized to create a Smart room with Touch Screen for the school which was first of such kind facility created in schools during 2005.2. Organised Microsoft ICT Fair 2005 in JNV Shimoga campus sponsored by Microsoft.3. Won Intel Technology school award- 2006 for JNV Shimoga.4. Received NVS-Best Principal award- 2007 on 18-12-2007 from Hon’ble Min. of HRM .5. Coordinated UKIERI (UK-India Educational & Research Intiative) programme for Hyderabad Region and visited United Kingdom twice- 2007 and 2010 and had opportunities to study the school education system of UK Schools and also the reciprocal visits of the team including students and teachers. 6. Attended various training programmes at prestigious institutes such as IIM (Indian Inst. of Management) , Lucknow on Effective leadership and at IIPA (Indian Inst. Of Public Admin), New Delhi on Direct Trainers Skill and Designing of Training . I was one of the identified trainer/ resource persons in NVS and conducted number of In-service training prog for teachers and Principals.7. Master trainer for CCE- Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and Conducted orientation prog. on CCE to HMs/Principals of private schools of three districts in Tamil Nadu.8. Member of technical advisory committee of NavodayaVidyalaya Samithi which constituted for the purpose of technology implementation in JNVs9. Coordinated NVS Regional children’s Science congress for three years, twice at IISc, Bangalore and once at IIT Chennai and co-organizer for NVS Regional cultural meet and Art Exhibition once at Chennai and other at Pondicherry (UT) 10. Attended number of workshops, seminars and orientation programmes orgranised by NVS, British council, eINDIA exhibition and other organization which have given me the variety of exposures.
