In this project, we have compiled information from various resources and conducted an in-depth analysis of Cameroon’s human trafficking issue. This project seeks to recognize contributing factors, agencies, and instruments involved and does so by studying the culture, people, and disruptions in its social structures. Further, it critically examines governance and judicial barriers, providing recommendations to the same. In doing so, this project sets forth a proposal for a framework of prevention, protection, and assistance in all spheres of the problem of human trafficking. Rehabilitation for victims of the trade, cooperation between the government and non-governmental organizations, and ensuring that Cameroon’s current legal framework matches the standards of international organizations are at the forefront.
