• Customer facing role with application/product development responsibilities while actively supporting the business expansion in the field of mineral processing across the world by providing customer specific technical solutions. Currently travel intensity ~ 30-50% to Domestic and International customer locations.• Develop professional relation with customers to understand and interpret the techno-commercial problems, analyze and offer specific value proposition. Work on customized proposals that could result in a win-win situation. • Develop product commercialization and business development strategies along with commercial teams from different geographic locations. • Identify new markets for business expansion and initiate dialogues with diverse customer segments for technology and product introductions.• Train and develop engineers for applications scientist and engineer roles in the mining and mineral processing field.• Develop products for plant/lab scale qualification and provide application support for mineral processing reagents that includes Floatation Collectors, Surfactants, Defoamers, Scale Inhibitors, Crystal Growth Modifiers and Filtration Rate Enhancers. Lead field trials and actively involved in commercialization of products. • Actively working on providing technical solutions and support business growth in multiple locations in the USA that includes major phosphate and Iron ore processing units in Idaho, Florida, Minnesota, North Carolina and Wyoming. Internationally working with customers in Mexico, Turkey, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Jordan, Serbia, India, Indonesia and Finland.

Material Selection, Reaction Kinetics, Quantum State Physics, Mechanical Behaviour of Engineering Materials, Fatigue and Fractures in Materials

Provide Technical assistance, Audio-Visual troubleshooting, Complaint Handling and Customer Service to the staff and students.

- Designed a new procedure and conducted evaluation tests to compare “Effect of Hydrate flocculent on Auto Precipitation in Bayer Plant”. Study included work on Low Molecular Weight Dextran based hydrate flocculants. - Acquainted hands on experience on conducting the Red Mud Settling test with flocculants of varying chemistry and Molecular weights, Polymer Stripping and Emulsion Breaking Techniques- Performance Evaluation of Synthetic Polymer emulsion Flocculants on solids separation and settling in Bayer Liquor. - Performance Evaluation of Polymeric Solutions and Emulsions on Auto Precipitation inhibition in Bayer Liquor.

• Production in-charge charge for 2 production lines producing different specialty grades of micro-fine alumina products. • Effectively mobilize and judiciously manage resources with structured inputs in the domains of production planning, designing, quality control and monitoring to ensure smooth production operations within defined time/cost parameters.• Initiate and lead projects that require working closely with global specialty chemical and technology suppliers to evaluate the product performance in lab/plant. Major suppliers worked with include Cytec, Nalco, BASF, SNF, Metso, FLSmidth, Audco, ABB, Honeywell, Bokela and Donaldson.• Initiate and implement continuous improvement projects across the plant. Executed a Six Sigma Green Belt project to reduce the grade changeover time in rotary Alumina Calciner from 112 h to 48 h.• Collaborate with different departments like procurement, accounts, Supply chain, engineering and human resource in order to execute time dependent tasks. • Involved in planning and budgeting of the product volumes and schedules for the entire plant to ensure maximum OTIF product deliveries. Worked with cross functional team to increase the EBITDA.

• Instrumental in planning, scheduling with respect to cost, resource deployment, time over-runs, quality compliance and manpower planning in line with the organization requirements; ensuring adherence to organization’s standards & procedures.• Accountable for coordinating continuous operations start up - shut down and troubleshooting in a safe and efficient way.• Adept at monitoring and evaluating maintenance activities viz. machine performance, trouble shooting, inspection & authorization, thereby ensuring strict adherence to the time schedule and quality standards whilst achieving pre-set target; leading continuous improvement projects.• Planning & controlling all project activities connected with safe and efficient operations; implementing quality standards for meeting the set targets within time & cost parameters.• Streamlining new process concepts for production optimization, yield improvement and adopting new cost reduction techniques by utilizing SPC and Lean Six Sigma Tools.• Managing sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors / suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability.• Ensuring implementation of various management systems such as Safety, 5S, ISO 9001 / 14001 / OHSAS 18001 etc. to meet production targets and product quality and achieve continual improvement in terms of processes, cost and manpower resources.• Responsible for activities of Kaizen (“suggestion” for easy and cost effective measure) related to operation and maintenance of plant under the Aditya Birla Business Excellence Model.• Directing, leading & motivating workforce and imparting continuous on-job training for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness/ efficiency.
