Master thesis "Single-trial analysis of simultaneously acquired EEG-fMRI during acoustic stimulation"

Multimodal neuro-imaging and image based biomarkers for brain disorders.

My PhD works focused on projects which combines multiple imaging modalities like positron emission tomography (PET), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and electroencephalography (EEG). The projects combined neuroimaging (PET and MRI), electrophysiology (EEG) and real word application to Psychiatry and Neuroscience in general. It includes multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach by combining expertise from medical imaging, signal and image processing, neurobiology, and neuroscience. During my PhD time, I developed skills to record and analyse simultaneous PET, MRI images and EEG signals. Also I have already published the findings relating to influence of EEG cap electrodes on PET images (R. Rajkumar et al. 2017) and association of EEG microstates with fMRI connectivity, glucose metabolism and excitatory/inhibitory neuroreceptors (R. Rajkumar et al, 2020, 2018). Currently, I work on a project investigating association between glutamate receptors and fMRI connectivity/EEG microstates in Schizophrenia patients. I have also experience with DTI, MRS and NIRS data. Furthermore, I have developed skills especially in the data science direction with emphasis on Machine Learning.
