Blue Plains Tunnel, Washington, DC, United States (2011-2013): Design Engineer. Geotechnical and Structural design of five slurry diaphragm wall shafts, including two conjoined shafts 180-ft in depth and 138-ft in diameter using PLAXIS 3D. Corresponding analysis of cast-in-place final linings. Project required thorough interpretation and evaluation of earth pressures. Calculations included determination of steel reinforcement required; shear design, glass fiber reinforced polymer design for TBM break-ins, bearing capacity checks, and thorough use of ACI 318. Client: DC Water (Traylor Skanska Jay-Dee) – Design Build. Project Value: $530M. ENR Project of the Year Award. Halcrow was acquired by CH2M Hill during this time.

East Side Access Project, New York, New York (2008-2011). Design Engineer. Underground tunnels running from the borough of Queens in New York towards midtown Manhattan terminating at the famed Grand Central Station (GCT) broken into a series of construction contracts with the purpose of bringing the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to GCT. In additional to concrete design, handled corresponding drawing production for portions of the alignment—inclusive of general, rock support, structural, reinforcement, and waterproofing. (Project Value: $11B) Performed dynamic analysis for estimating ground vibration and peak particle velocity caused by construction blasting of large underground rock caverns and evaluating impact on Metro North Rail Road facilities and Grand Central Station.  Manhattan Contract CM019: Created and advanced initial rock support drawings in conjunction with geotechnical engineers for TBM excavations and cavern enlargements prior to construction of final lining. Manhattan Contract CM013A: 55th Street Ventilation facility – Street level and underground design and construction. Coordination with Civil discipline for street level air plenum and Architectural for cavern level fit out. Manhattan contract CM012: Grand Central Station Cavern. Design of Invert track slab, emergency egress stairs and corresponding structural drawings. Setting out and general plans for the construction contract. Multidisciplinary coordination of precast structural elements with architectural finishes and systems integration.Client: MTA Capital Construction.
