Ravi is an experienced technology innovator and leader. He has led the architecture, design, development and operations of several successful products in his career. He achieved this by building and motivating great teams. In addition to technology leadership he is an innovator with over 75 granted US patents in the areas of payments and cybersecurity. He is currently incubating innovative technologies in security and privacy as part of his Maya.Ninja LLC venture, several of which have had successful exits.Ravi started his career in information technology at Verizon where in six years he went from an entry level position to serving as Vice President of Distributed Operations leading a team of over five hundred IT professionals in managing complex mission critical systems. He then served as Vice Chair and Chief Technology Officer at CheckFree Corporation (sold to FiServ) where he was part of the leadership team that led the Company through a period of explosive, profitable, growth. His inventions in bill payment and person to person payments resulted in over a dozen granted patents. He led the great team that architected and built the GENESIS bill pay system that is still in production use more than two decades later.Then as an entrepreneur he founded TriCipher (sold to VMWare) a start up in the security technology space. He raised three rounds of venture financing and led it as CEO until 2006, when the Company accomplished record revenues and was positioned as one of the leading providers of security technology to the financial services industry. Ravi also spent a year as Research Professor at the Institute for CyberSecurity, at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and served as an Operating Partner at at The Comvest Group where he co-led four investments, three of which had successful exits.Ravi holds a Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University, an M.S. from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a B.E. from Anna University. He is also a successful innovator (with over seventy issued and twenty pending patents) and an unsuccessful musician (with over fifty songs, none of which have received any airtime).
