Hi, I'm Ravi Kiran. K, a Ph.D. Research Scholar and SERB Fellow (SRF) at the Department of Civil Engineering, UCE OU, Hyderabad, India. My academic journey includes a Master of Engineering (M.E) from the University College of Engineering and a B. Tech from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal.My primary focus lies in Traffic Engineering, where I delve into areas such as Traffic Safety, Pedestrian safety, Road User Behavior, and Traffic Calming measures. Throughout my Ph.D. dissertation, I concentrated on developing and designing a novel Traffic Calming measure called Curved Speed Hump (CSH), specifically tailored for Indian conditions. The culmination of this research was the creation of an optimal design for a Traffic Calming device that prioritizes functionality, user safety, and sustainability. Notably, this work received a grant of 38 lakhs from the SERB Govt of India. Additionally, I successfully proposed the geometric design for implementation to the Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), Govt of Telangana, further solidifying the practical application of my research findings.My contributions extend beyond academia, with several authored papers published in esteemed journals and conference proceedings. Prior to my research endeavors, I gained valuable experience as an Assistant Professor in various Engineering colleges, accumulating two years of teaching expertise.
