Junior year I decided to take the biggest risk and go for the position I wanted of Drum Major and I had the opportunity to stand infront of my band to not only conduct but to motivate and make history for my final year in high school as well. At Safety America Karate going for my First Degree Jr black belt, I was determined by going to classes 5 days of out the 7 in the week just getting my training in. My instructor had noticed the determination and had spoken about volunteering. After about 2 years of volunteering I was offered my first job as a karate instructor on my birthday at the age of 14. Going through the process and gaining skills that I was not even capable of before. I was also offered the job as a spring/summer/winter camp counselor and to this day I am one of the team leaders for the new people coming in. As a 19 year old now having the opportunity to work for that company for 6 years has been a true honor.
