Future Consumer Limited a listed company is a part of Future Group, India’s Modern Retail pioneer. The Company is listed in NSE and BSE. The Company is in the business of branded products in Food, Beverages, Home and Personal Care which are sold essentially through Modern Retail. The Company has around 28 brands spread across more than 60 categories. The Company reported revenues of ~ Rs. 3900 crores in FY19 and is listed in both BSE and NSE. Responsible for the entire gamut of Finance including Financial Reporting, Taxation, Treasury, Fund Raising, Internal Audit, Budgeting, FP&A, board meetings, Audit Committee meetings etc. Spearheaded the Investor Relations function by initiating coverage on FCL by foreign and domestic brokerage houses, participated in road-shows, investor conferences and meetings. Raised Funds through a mix of long term / short term debt, raised equity etc. Responsible for the P&L and driving EBITDA improvement through various cost measures, pricing decisions and simplifying the corporate structure of FCL. Drove the concept of RoCE within the organisation by working on working capital initiatives, putting in systems for driving capital expenditure decisions, managing funds flow for Joint ventures and also divesting non-core investments from the books. Managed multiple stakeholders across spectrum ranging from statutory and internal auditors, bankers, investors, associates, JV Partners etc. Drove the automation agenda for FCL by automating key finance and business related processes like Consolidation of accounts, SAP GRC, sales trackers, GST compliances, bank payments, implementation of SAP HANA in multiple entities under FCL.

Group Treasury- Have anchored the Group Treasury Function for Marico for six years. The activities involve managing the day to day Cash Flow & Forecasting, Investment of surplus funds, Forex Risks and Hedging, Forex and Local Currency borrowings, Bank Guarantees and LC, Accounting, RBI & FEMA Compliances, Relationship Management with Banks. Raising funds for acquisitions, corporate structuring, Anchored creation of policy framework across group for investments (including having a fixed working capital amount available at all points of time), borrowings, forex management, Delegation of Authority and Segregation of Duties. Group InsuranceAnchoring the Insurance as part of Risk Management. Examining risk coverage and working on enhancement of coverage and ensuring timely claim settlement. Insurance includes the entire gamut of Insurance ranging from Property, Marine, Liability and Employee Insurance Policies. Investor RelationsAnchoring the role of Investor Relations function. The IR team anchors the interface with the investor and analyst community through one-on-one meetings, Conferences and Non Deal Road shows for Indian and FIIs. The function involves a deeper understanding of Business levers and communicates the strategy through regular investor meetings, investor presentations and quarterly updates. The function keeps a track of shareholders movement and continuing to evolve a IR strategy to remain engaged with investors. M&A Scouting for acquisitions, having relationship with investment bankers, negotiations, anchoring Due Diligence and making deals happen. Requires understanding of possible targets in India and other geographies on a regular basis. Have been part of either negotiations, structuring or post acquisition integration or divestment of almost all deals done by the Company. Anchoring Payroll and Shared Service (outsourced) for Marico IndiaApart from above, I play a very active role in board and audit committee preparations.

Managing Direct Taxation of Marico Group which included Transfer Pricing, Corporate Tax, Assessments, Litigation and International Taxation compliances. Being an active member of the Corporate Structuring team, got involved in key re-organization projects for the Company. Attended Corporate Assessments for Indian Companies and also involved in making policy framework for tax accounting and litigation across group. Anchoring the Insurance Agenda for the group from 2009 whereby the focus shifted from stand-alone Insurance Policies to integrating the Risk Management Framework and extending the Scope to strengthen the Liability Policies for the GroupAnchoring the Secretarial Function for Marico Limited with the Company Secretary to ensure smooth transition to the new Companies Act 2013 & strengthening the Governance Processes of Marico Limited and its subsidiaries in India.

Actively managing the three core functions of the Entire Marico Group, Treasury, Insurance & Direct Taxation with a variety of exposure in Long Term Fund Raising, Negotiations, relationship building with banks and associates, Investment planning, Foreign Exchange management, Corporate Structuring, Tax Planning, Transfer Pricing and International Taxation, Insurance, Mergers and Acquisitions etc.. Managing a team of 15 people based out of Mumbai

I was heading the finance in Egypt till December 2007. I went as part of Due diligence team for acquiring brands and factories in Egypt and stayed back for Post merger integration. Was active team member involved in 2 back to back Acquisitions. Headed the Finance and Commercial function of the Egypt business having 3 factories, multiple brand portfolio, managing country profitability, legal, compliance of the company. Was an active team member for setting up the entire Egypt operations right from recruitments, office set up, Financial set up, Audits, Commercial Controls, Setting up factory etc.. Post Egypt, Managing the Finance of the International Business based out of HO traveling extensively to countries of our presence for performance evaluation, setting up of best practices across countries, active team member for doing Mergers and Acquisitions and entering newer geographies. Was responsibility for profitability targets for the division and spearheaded some of the cost control initiatives across the division.

I joined Marico Limited as Manager in charge of Group Corporate Reporting and MIS. I was in charge of Preparation and Consolidation of Group Budgets, periodic comparison of budgets v/s Actuals, Variance Analysis, Devising newer frames for performance Management, part of Group Financial Target setting and evaluation exercises, Benchmarking of best practices, Comparison with peer Company numbers.

I had a brief stint of 8 months with the organisation incharge of Manager for Corporate Reporting, budgetary controls, Budgets vs Actuals MIS, setting up for Annual Budgets etc..

Joined as a Management Trainee got exposed to various facets of Finance in the Corporate world. Within a year got a chance to handle variety of portfolios ranging from Implementation and Audit of Consolidation of Accounts, Performance Management System of International Operations Division, Audit of Stand alone accounts, opening up overseas subsidiaries, Transfer Pricing compliance for transactions with Overseas subsidiaries etc..
