As Chief Manager-Technical Services responsible for following Key Result Areas: •Working as Technical Team leader for MS block in Axens India to help team to achieve targeted site activities, Catalyst loading, catalyst activation, startup, stabilization and Performances Test Run for MS Block Units. Participation in all the meetings with clients with my Team members to support the team. Organizing weekly meetings with Team to support and to know the status of current activities. Impart training to Team members to develop the competency to perform technical jobs at site.•Contribution in enhancing sales of catalyst, technology along with CA and PL Sales Team of AIPL, review of the Tenders, participation in Business Challenge meetings.•Monitoring performance of the MS Block (NHT/CCRU/ CRU/ ISOM units) in Indian refineries licensed by M/s Axens.•Managing trouble shooting and performance review of the NHT/CCRU/CRU/ ISOMERISATION Units licensed by M/s AXENS to Indian Refineries. As Deputy Manager the responsibilities included:• Monitored performance of CCRU, ISOM, SRU, ARU, BBU units at Mathura Refinery.• Benchmarked the operation department with other international business practices. • Handled Troubleshooting in CCRU, ISOM, ARU, SRU, BBU units.• Conducted Hazop study of all the process modifications• Participated in design basis meeting, PFD and P&ID review meeting, and commissioned the ISOM unit.• Assisted with technical support for Isomerisation Unit licensed by M/s UOP; Continuous Catalytic Reforming Unit licensed by M/s AXENS; Sulphur Recovery Unit by M/s S&EC; and Bitumen Blowing Unit• Monitored and optimized the unit operation in coordination with production personnel.• Developed and implemented process modification for better performance of unit as and when required.• Planned Test Runs to gauge the performance of unit on certain predefined parameters. Getting the test runs executed, compilation, and analysis of the data generated. Contributions:• Introduced best practices in the operations and successfully met the stringent quality standards.• Successfully recovered heat wasted in Air cooler of Naphtha Splitter Column by installing a redundant heat exchanger available after AVU revamp, checked adequacy of the exchanger by simulation in PRO-II and saved energy by this modification equivalent to 1.8 Mk cal/hr approximately on recurring basis. • Instrumental in implementing a scheme to recover reduction gas in CCRU unit, that was going to fuel gas system and routed it to PSA to recover H2, thereby saved Rs. 4 Crores/year approximately on recurring basis. • Effectively handled troubleshooting and implemented scheme that resolved the problem of temperature fluctuation in CCRU reactors.• Replaced Leaky Packinox Heat exchanger in CCRU with more reliable Helitower. • Initiated troubleshooting steps and implemented scheme to increase the temperature of claus gas going to TGTU.
