• Reviewing inspection Test Plan, Raw Material Test Certificate, Welding Procedure Specification and Non Destructive Test Procedures.• Ensuring the verification of weld joint preparation, fit up, alignment & dimensional inspection as per drawings. • Efficiently monitoring the welding parameters i.e. current, voltage, travel speed etc. during the welding as per approved WPS.• Checking Pre heat, Inter pass temperature and inter pass cleaning as per WPS.• Responsible for visual inspection of each pass/layer of welded joint profile for surface finish and defects.• Reviewing NDT procedure, PWHT procedure, hydro test procedure, etc also reviewing and witnessing welding procedure and performance qualification record.• Verifying proper preheating and monitor welding parameters during welding also monitoring PWHT and reviewing charts.• Involved in the inspection of LSAW /HSAW & ERW Line Pipes as per API 5L for sour service & non sour service also involved in the inspection of 3LPE coating & Internal Epoxy coating as per DIN 30670 standards.• Carrying out dimensional and visual inspection as per QAP/Codes/Standard on all the finished products like pipe, tubes, bends, pressure vessel, Tanks, TMT Bar and fittings, etc.• Inspecting incoming Material with respect to the actual traceability against manufactures Certificate.• Ensuring the verification of Manufacturing Test Certificates of Raw materials like HR Coil, Filler wire and Welding Electrodes.• Monitoring manufacturing stages as per approved ITP/QAP & Clients requirements also witnessing Welder/Welding Procedures Qualification.• Witnessing and Verifying fit up arrangement before welding also looking after the inspection of Cryogenic Vessels as per client specification. • Witnessing Hydro Test, all NDT Tests (UT, RT, MPI & PT) and all Mechanical tests – Tensile test, Hardness test, Charpy V Impact, Drop Weight Tear Test, Bend test, Chemical, HIC, SSCC and Nick Break Test.
