Business Project Management (MGT 172) covers the process aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk mitigation, as well as the human capital management imperatives of communication, feedback, teamwork, and leadership. The course also delves into project portfolio management theory and practice, as well as R&D road mapping. In addition to traditional project management essentials, students will learn about advanced risk management and strategic decision-making practices.Also focuses on the human capital side of project management, including tools for managing and leading project teams, conflict resolution, project outsourcing negotiations, and international project management dynamics. It also integrates these two important and modern aspects of business project management to prepare students for success across different industries, such as high technology, biotechnology, telecommunications, manufacturing, financial management, media, and entertainment.Business and Organizational Leadership (MGT 164) provides insights into different business and organizational leadership approaches and challenges. Students will learn theoretical and practical concepts of organizational leadership, as well as personal, organizational, and cultural challenges that emerging leaders may face. It covers both business aspects of leadership, such as international, strategic, and crisis leadership, and organizational leadership components, such as change management and transformation, innovation culture, power structures, and leadership for co-creation.Also carefully integrates modern approaches to leadership by introducing current best practices, theories, case studies, and critical reading assignments. By combining these two important aspects of leadership, students will be prepared for future leadership roles and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in a dynamic and ever-changing business environment.
