* Until May 2014, managed the engagement with the partner in Bangalore, India, to ensure its operational and financial success. Grew the program from 11% to about 20% during tenure.* Since May 2014, responsible for developing group level strategies for key technologies within Meggitt business units. These include Prognostics & Health Management (PHM) and Propulsion systems. * Leading teams to introduce PHM capability into Meggitt products: Li-Ion batteries, Electromechanical actuation systems, Wheels and brakes, Power generation and conversion systems, etc. * Leading a company-wide effort to standardize a model-based approach to systems engineering and certification, especially requirements associated with ARP4754A.

* Discipline Manager, Diagnostics, Prognostics & Health Management (DPHM). Led a discipline of up to 25 supervisors and individual contributors, developing diagnostics, prognostic and engine management systems for aircraft engines and related systems. My discipline was responsible for the technical excellence of on- and off-board diagnostics systems. This included the ground-based Advanced Diagnostics & Engine Management (ADEM) system, and PHM systems on all P&W engines including F135 and the new Geared Turbofan engines. As an ACE associate (level C) I led significant process improvement initiatives, achieving, for example, a 75% reduction in lead time by value chain optimization of model development; a 60% reduction in the development and deployment time of diagnostics algorithms by eliminating re-coding; and developing cost benefit analysis tools for PHM capabilities.* Manager of Advanced Programs & Technology in Controls & Diagnostics Systems (CDS). I managed the technology portfolio and advanced programs for CDS. Managed a large external program from DARPA called META II, where we developed automated design and verification tools for a complex aerospace system.

Led various Value Chain Optimization projects, including a $9M NIST contract on condition-based maintenance. This resulted in several papers and patents, and technology that was transferred to UTC business units.

• Developed and demonstrated a web-based model configuration and simulation environment for use at GE businesses. Reduced development effort by 25%.• Designed, tested, and transitioned to production the first truly multivariable control system for GE frame turbines. Reduced typical firing temperature swings by more than 60%.• Developed an automated gas-turbine combustor startup and NOx reduction system for aero-derivatives turbines (LM6000, etc.). Facilitated substantial savings in startup costs.• Designed, developed, and field-tested a fault detection system for the largest gas-turbine in the world (MS 9001H). Project included setting up, instrumenting, and testing a scaled laboratory model. Insurance against multi-million dollar liability involving hot section damage.
