Incubated and grew mechanical design and simulation methods group as a part of GE global research at Bangalore and established collaborative research programs with GE Energy, Transportation and Healthcare. Delivered key results in the form of design concepts, methods and tools. Contributed to over $ USD 3 M savings from various domain specific design projects in Energy, Healthcare and materials.

As a member of the research team, developed algorithms and methods in design optimization, numerical solvers and computational geometry. Became part of the 4-member core team when IBM spun off this group with CADSI, Iowa to commercialize this technology. CADSI was acquired by LMS International in 1999.
