My internship work at Apollo Diagnostics was to check Hospital Lab Management Opportunities with various hospitals, collect factors that doctors consider for referring their patients to a particular diagnostic centre and Competitor pricing in Chennai, Chengalpet, Vellore, Ranipet and Pondicherry. A total number of 77 doctors, 56 hospitals, 32 laboratories, 9 nursing homes and 4 key organization leaders were visited during my internship.Out of 77 doctors, 33 doctors i.e 43% of doctors through negotiation were made to extend their support to Apollo diagnostics by referring their patients.2 Doctors even agreed to keep Apollo Diagnostics collection centre at their clinic premises.5 hospitals, 1 lab and 4 Nursing homes were made to agree upon B2B -outsourcing few lab test to Apollo Diagnostics by quoting best price deals.Pricing for 4 diagnostic tests namely 1) Thyroid 2) Lipid 3) CBC 4) HBA1C collected from various competitor gave transparency for Apollo Diagnostics to decide upon their pricing strategy.
