It was a small stint with Havells and during 6 months period, I established a strong team of domestic and international vendors for manufacturing premium range of appliances. Provided support to the team from Fans division during the launch of premium Water Heaters to the existing network of electrical dealers & new channel partners. Designed & presented the road map for successful launch of Havells brand appliances. Introduced Havells range of water heaters, CFL’s & Fans to modern trade & to unconventional network of retail BPCL network (Beyond LPG) and naval canteen stores.

After working for Appliances, I took up the challenge in Media domain and handled the responsibility of Advertisement Business of Diligent Media which is a JV of Zee TV & Dainik Bhaskar Publisher- DNA English daily with turnover of INR 100 Cr. My team included 2 Sr. Managers and 4 Managers, and we generated business through Government accounts from Maharashtra & Goa region. Some of the key accounts included Railways, BSNL, MTNL, Port Trust, Municipal Corporations, Mantralay, Air India, PSU Banks DAVP and many more. Added new clients like Technical Board of Education, KDMC, BSNL Panvel, Konkan Rly. and many more.Introduced Special features like Earth Hour, Environment day, Telecom day, Baisakhi celebration, Bandra worli Sealink, Fake currency, etc.

I successfully drove the entire operations of appliances division at national level with an objective to reach INR 100 Cr. by 2010. Re-launched Birla Lifestyle & Birla Delonghi home appliances pan India. Secured business worth INR 1 Cr from Siyaram’s, Godrej, Cipla, and Punjab Small Savings. Launched Birla Power Shoppe in collaboration with Birla Power Solutions. Birla Power shoppe is a chain of franchisee based showrooms across the country. Introduced and launched Air Coolers 2008; Q1 registered record sales revenue of INR 3 Cr.

Asia Pacific deals in distribution and logistics services with turnover worth INR 500 Cr. I started in 2004 and led product division, later in 2007, I was promoted as Business Head for Appliance Division. Mentored a team of 39 including 2 Regional Managers, 14 Branch Managers & 23 front line sales people as part of the Appliance business vertical. Held P&L responsibility of the division with business turnover worth INR 100 Cr.One of the major accomplishments with Asia Pacific - I was the key person for major turnaround of Singer sewing machines, which resurfaced as a strong market player. Awarded Employee Stock Option (ESOP) amongst 25 top employees in reward of superlative performance in the first year.

Singer India is one of the largest manufacturers of sewing machines/ appliances/ durables with turnover INR 130 Cr. I took care of the channel sales business from Western and South Central India along with a team of 1 Sr. Area Manager, 3 Area Managers, and 12 District Managers. In Dec 2002, I got additional responsibility of managing Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & Goa as well. Some of the highlights include –- Managed 20 ‘A’ grade distributors; appointed 5 additional distributors- Launched small range of appliances called ‘Global Series’ in 2002. Guided the soft launch for CTVs & VCDs in Mumbai, Maharashtra & Gujarat in 2003. Over-achieved the sales target by 40% in 2003.- Developed new markets in Saurashtra, Kutch and Chattisgarh; new vendors and augmented turnover by 60% for Food Processors. - First one to win a trip to the Far East.
