From 2007 until 2012 Kraft Foods conducted project Catalyst which was an original implementation of SAP ERP starting with North America and eventually including Brazil , ANDEAN, Southern Coneand Mexico. At one time, the project team members exceeded 500. Project Catalyst implemented several major releases per year starting with Manufacturing and Procurement and OTC, then CRM and Finance. The Solution Delivery team was one of the largest teams on the initiative and spending exceeded $50 Mil, with over 2,000 RICEF completed.Solution Delivery provided experienced leadership in the areas of ABAP development, regression testing, XI/PI, Control M batch, Solution Manager, Datastage, and SAP Portal. Solution Delivery participated with the many functional configuration teams in all stages of the project’s lifecycle. Solution Delivery also assured ongoing support through the partner companies of IBM and Infosys. The XI / PI platform was particularly challenging to support, due to the instability of early version Java programs. The SUN Solaris systems for hosting SAP had instability requiring regular incident management, and eventually an operations excellence program was established to improve change related communications.The Solution Delivery team had at its maximum, 22 employees and over 150 consultants of which 70% were based in India. The Solution Delivery Team was known for quality, flexibility, transparency, and organization. The motivation and commitment of the Solution Delivery team was important when requirements were difficult to envision, and the environment was fast changing.
