At Seneca, the Public Administration program has partnered up with the Town of Newmarket to provide graduate students the opportunity to address current issues encountered within the municipality and provide recommendations and/or policies for consideration. My group and I proposed the transition from manual to automated waste collection, to service efficiency and sustainability for the Town of Newmarket.

The LA&PS peer mentor network encourages students to develop foundational skills to succeed throughout their academic careers and actively engage in their university experiences. We as peer mentors help provide academic and social support to students who are transitioning into our institution. We host fall/winter orientations to welcome our new students, followed by weekly events and news to keep our mentees involved.

-Attending recruitment strategy meetings -Screening resumes from various requisition lists-Shortlisting/calling candidates for potential interviews -Scheduling interviews/debriefs with the hiring manager-Completing TA evaluation forms for candidates -Sending offer letters out for approval via Workday-Sourcing candidates on Indeed, Quebec emploi and Linkedin-Updating applicant's status in Workday, Yellow etc.-Attend weekly meetings with HR staff-Conducting research on diversity platforms-Updating interns' data on excel -Participating in speaker series and campus corner events

-successfully completed the recruitment cycle-onboarded multiple candidates onto our team-monitored and assessed my team's performance-provided reminders/updates to my team to ensure high productivity and satisfaction -resolved conflicts amongst teams-attending weekly meetings with management

-Replying to applicant`s emails, screening replies, sending questionnaires and scheduling interviews by senior HR staff -Post job ads on general career websites, university and college career websites, and internship websites -Develop relationships with universities and colleges that have intern programs- Taking the initiative to resolve candidate questions after consulting with the supervisor- Shadowing interviews and inductions to better understand the recruitment process.- Conducting interviews and inductions/onboarding.- Explaining HR processes to the new HR Assistants/Interns, and actively following up with the onboarded interns.- Updating ATS on a daily basis-member of the Writing Test Team and conducted written tests

-Organized racks and shelves to maintain store visual appeal, engage customers and promote specific merchandise.-Analyzed and properly processed product returns, assisting customers with finding alternative merchandise to meet needs.-Acquired 20+ customers daily-Collaborated with clients to maintain relationships and provide customers with thorough support and guidance.-Achieved perfect attendance -Prepared merchandise for the sales floor by pricing products.
