• FLOAT- Works and assists in different clinics throughout the hospital and the surgery department to ensure proper coverage is provided.• Process leaf request.• Process numerous clinic reports including return to clinic orders, and actions required.• Distributing clinic reports to fellow staff members.• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA policies.• Utilization of a variety of interfacing software to conduct scheduling functions such as VISTA, VSE-GUI, CPRS, and CTM.• Providing communication and professionalism to veterans.• Verify doctor’s orders and treatment plans.• Follow scheduling procedures and guidelines to schedule patients timely and accurately. • Verify patients personal information as needed.• Collect, scan and update health insurance information.• Process bene travel eligible Veterans and other beneficiaries with mileage reimbursement.• Answers and addresses phone calls in a timely manner

• New patient consults- Scheduling new patients and following up on new patient inquiries.• Personal Injury coordinator- Monitoring personal injury cases and following up with outside doctor referrals and case updates. • Insurance Managing- Verifying new patient insurance and following up with changing policies.

• Assist the doctor with getting vitals for new patients (height, weight and blood pressure).• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA policies.• Therapies- Assist with therapies rendered by the doctor including electrical stimulation, hydro therapy, and laser treatment. • Scanning and filing- Scan and file all patient forms and intake information.
