I am a Professor of Punjabi at Delhi University, Member University Court and Member of Standing Committee of Delhi University. I was also a Conveyor of Punjabi Advisory Board of Sahitya Akademi, The National Academy of Letters. Besides this I'm on board of a number of national and international organisations. I have participated and contributed in many of the literary and cultural events in India and abroad. Earlier, I was the Secretary to Punjabi Academy, Government of NCT of Delhi for 14 years. As Secretary, Punjabi Academy, I was instrumental in bringing Punjabi Literature, Art and Culture to center stage. As Editor of Peer journal " SAMDARSHI" in Punjabi, I used to experiment with a number of subjects.I am also a renowned Broadcaster and have authored a number of books in Punjabi Literature, My area of specialization is "Punjabi Drama" and "Media Studies in Punjabi" which is a rare combination.
