I provide outpatient/in-office therapy through the Family Counseling division. I provide services for a wide range of clientele from children and their caregivers to adults, primarily from a family systems perspective. My experience includes individual, family, and couples/marital therapy. My cases range from short-term assessment, brief therapy, to stabilization and longer-term, more in-depth therapy.

The Autism Place

My responsibilities included working on a team of clinicians with children diagnosed with autism to enhance social skills, communication skills, and problem solving skills through group work. I collected data by observing client behavior and noting moments of improvement. In addition to working with the children groups, I led and facilitated two parent support groups.

Marquette Autism Project

My responsibilities include SPSS data entry, administering electroencephalograms (EEGs) to teens and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), measuring head size and placing the EEG cap on the participant, conducting heart rate monitoring, placing heart rate sensors in correct positions on the participant, administering and scoring the KBIT Intelligence Quotient Test, and serving as a Social Coach during Program for the Enrichment and Education of Relational Skills (PEERS) social skills training sessions for this population.

Greater Milwaukee Area

My responsibilities for this oral history research project included interviewing subjects, creating identity-based questionnaires for interviews, transcribing interviews, facilitating website maintenance, researching the history of immigrants in the United States, and assisting in the development of the “Beyond the Veil” exhibit at the Milwaukee Public Museum.

I conducted one-on-one Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy with children diagnosed with ASD, led team meetings in the absence of the senior therapist, collected data on the child’s improvement in programs conducted during therapy, and attended progress reviews with the lead psychologists and therapists on the case at the clinic.

I was responsible for creating emergency policies and procedures to be implemented in the hospital, conducting research for ongoing projects, arranging meetings with appropriate personnel in the division, and presenting policies at weekly meetings.
