I supported the PERFORM, NODES, GO, DIFFERENTIATE and SCALEUP programs along with multiple OPEN projects. I connected teams to industry stakeholders and investors and provided guidance on commercialization plans.

Day-Ahead Trader for ERCOT focused on economically offering our 5 GW generation portfolio for energy and ancillary services to cover our 4 GW load portfolio and ancillary obligations. Traded DART, bal-day and bal-week to optimize our short-term position and identified derivative products to hedge our position.

Supported wholesale deal flow in ERCOT by determining the price at which the company would transact and valuing the risks inherent in a deal when purchasing or selling power. This involved load and price forecasting, hourly price shaping, and evaluating variable load or generation risks for deals with terms ranging from one to fifteen years. Transaction types included wind and solar PPAs (unit contingent and fixed shapes), wholesale and retail load, virtual power plants, and derivatives.

Supporting the development of daily profit and loss reporting by troubleshooting data issues and determining the corrective action required, improving the quality of data used to build the report, and developing different reports to support the operations of various business units. I also assisted in using the data to automate settlement and accounting close processes.The reports being developed provided an asset level view of our daily profitability, what is expected to flow to the income statement, and how it compares to the forecast.

Worked on the integration project for MXenergy and StarTex Power. I captured current state business process across Constellation, MXenergy and StarTex Power for Sales, Marketing, Collections, Cash Application, Broker Payments, and Billing. These were used to determine future state processes and systems for the retail Mass Markets business.Created user interface mock-ups and provided requirements for the Load Response Portfolio Management project. These were for an application that would be used to prepare for capacity events, manage capacity events, and provide settlement ready usage data.

Injected fault conditions into Navy communications system to develop troubleshooting procedures for an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) enabling sailors to support the system while it is in the fleet.Led the team of 10 engineers that oversaw the development of the $7.5M Ku-band Navy wireless communications system between ships and helicopters monitoring the design and production efforts of Harris Corporation and BAE Systems.Lead engineer for the hardware and software design and development of a $1.2M helicopter simulator to test the Ku-band Navy wireless communications system.

Provided business strategy and market research to assist in the development of a web portal for demand response for residential consumers of electricity that will provide real-time pricing, net metering functionality, and demand response capabilities.

Reconciled the budget and financial reports for audit preparation on the $4.7B Zumwalt Destroyer contract.Used SAP for monthly earned-value management analysis and reporting to the U. S. Navy for the DDG 1000 Zumwalt program.

I helped construct and test equipment to establish a wireless network that was deployed at an Army Base.I programmed Summit and Cisco switches to segregate the corporate network from the laboratory network to support R&D activities.
