This academic background has provided me with a nuanced understanding of the intricate dynamics within these critical sectors.In addition to my educational achievements, my extensive experience as a U.S. Army combat veteran offers a distinctive perspective on the challenges associated with leadership, homeland security, and emergency management. Over the course of my 20 years of military service, from 2001 to 2021, I cultivated practical logistics expertise while operating in high-pressure environments, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and the Korean Demilitarized Zone. Beginning my career as a Unit Supply Specialist and advancing to the role of Master Logistician, I developed essential skills in strategic planning, supply chain management, and logistics operations—capabilities that are directly applicable not only in military contexts but also in civilian emergency management.In my capacity as a 79R U.S. Army Recruiter, I further refined my leadership and personnel management skills. Successfully recruiting over 84 individuals enhanced my communication abilities, relationship management, and commitment to ethical standards. This experience reinforced my dedication to community engagement and effective teamwork in both military and civilian environments.Currently, as a Level 3/4 Commissioned Security Officer with the Texas Department of Public Safety, I leverage my military background to implement robust security protocols and ensure personnel protection.
