Rawlin Redfield is a IT Systems Analyst at LCMC Health. Colleagues describe him as "I truly enjoyed working alongside Rawlin at Tulane's School of Medicine as Standardized Patient Teaching Associates. In this role, we presented a clinical scenario-based learning experience for teaching and assessment purposes and observed the application of knowledge by incorporating studies and role-playing as the patient while assessing the skills of history taking, interviewing, physical examination, exam etiquette, communication skills, interpersonal skills, and patient management. We facilitated groups of learners through discussion, problem-solving, and teamwork during simulation-based learning experiences and taught the techniques of basic physical examination through demonstration and collaborative problem-solving.
Rawlin is tech savvy and pleasant with a good sense of humor and integrated well into our department. I was highly impressed with his ability to learn cases quickly and perform all functions of the job with a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail. This was beneficial in training newer employees through modeling/job shadowing. Rawlin quickly became a "go-to" person in the department who was not only knowledgeable in all aspects of the role but also able to resolve tech issues. For these qualities combined with his pleasant demeanor which contributed positively to the work environment, our department was(is) grateful to have him aboard!"
