Rawlings Design, Inc. began as a part time business offering design solutions for the renovation of homes in the inner city areas of Atlanta and Decatur, GA. Now the company offers Architectural services for both commercial and residential projects with an emphasis on sustainability. Two houses designed by Eric Rawlings have been featured on the TV show Renovation Nation on the Planet Green channel, in several articles, and were included on the Decatur Tour of Homes. Both houses represent excellence in sustainable design as well as introducing an historic modern aesthetic respectfully in a neighborhood dating back to the 1910's. Rawlings Design, Inc. still caters to the smallest home renovation in an effort to bring good Architecture to the average person.

Eric was a part time consultant that provided training in the use of ArchiCAD, a 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. In addition to training, Eric also assisted in production work on large projects of the Educational, Religious, and Recreational type. Some of these projects received LEED certification as well as media attention.

Eric finished his internship and became a licensed Architect under the mentorship of Dan Gerding. He developed his skills with the 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) program, ArchiCAD. His first experience with sustainable design in real buildings was gained here along with his first LEED certified project, Sweetwater Creek State Park Museum and Visitor Center, which was the first platinum certified building in the South East region.

First position at an Architectural firm. Gained experience with Residential, Medical, Restaurant, Retail, Religious and other project types. Eric actually utilized the archaic skills of hand drafting and had his first experience with computer aided drafting using AutoCAD
