Eric has been working in the Architectural profession since 1995. Before that he spent his summers during college building room additions and decks. As a product of the computer generation of Architecture, Eric has an expert knowledge of ArchiCAD (3D drafting software) dating back to 1997. He has trained other Architects and firms in the use of this software. Eric is a licensed Architect and a LEED accredited professional, which is a qualification for administering green design practices. He has worked on several LEED certified projects while employed by other Architects including platinum certified Sweetwater Creek State Park Visitor Center (Gerding Collaborative). Some of Eric's "green" residential projects have been published in periodicals and featured on the TV show "Renovation Nation" airing on the Planet Green channel.Specialties: Expert knowledge of the 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) software ArchiCAD.     Rawlings Design, Inc. began as a part time business offering design solutions for the renovation of homes in the inner city areas of Atlanta and Decatur, GA. Now the company offers Architectural services for both commercial and residential projects with an emphasis on sustainability. Two houses designed by Eric Rawlings have been featured on the TV show Renovation Nation on the Planet Green channel, in several articles, and were included on the Decatur Tour of Homes. Both houses represent excellence in sustainable design as well as introducing an historic modern aesthetic respectfully in a neighborhood dating back to the 1910's. Rawlings Design, Inc. still caters to the smallest home renovation in an effort to bring good Architecture to the average person.
