I have a successful history of working in the public sector and have extensive experience in management, housing, community work and health care. Following a decision my wife and I took in April 2016 to ‘downsize’ our lives, I have worked on a voluntary basis at public events and in paid employment as a duty manager at a retreat and conference centre. I am currently employed as a castle guide at a tourist attraction on the Isle of Mull, Scotland for the summer season and during the winter as a caretaker for the site. My first book, Downwardly Mobile, was published in February 2018. It's part travel book, part humour and part memoir telling the tale of our adventures on the road and what led up to our change of lifestyle. Still Following Rainbows followed two years later and continues our adventures living and working on the Isle of Mull, Scotland. Even Unicorns Die, a collection of short stories, opinionated articles and other nonsense was published in April 2020 as a stop gap while I'm working on my fourth book, The Mitchley Waltz. ________________________________________
