Manage open source, cloud and product security legal support. Lead company open source legal strategy definition and process development. Managed the PTL legal team supporting Sun's engineering sites in Bangalore, Beijing and St. Petersburg. Led PTL support of strategic initiatives, including acquisition integration, dispute resolution, and licensing support for key open source projects such as OpenOffice, OpenSPARC, and the NetBeans Java developer platform. Developed open source licensing strategies and compliance policies. Previously managed PTL legal support for Sun's SPARC Systems, Processor and Network Products, and Storage Groups.

Specialized in litigating intellectual property and antitrust claims, including defending against monopolization and tying claims brought against computer hardware manufacturers by third party maintainers of computer equipment following the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Eastman Kodak Co. v. Image Technical Services., Inc. Deposed witnesses and defended depositions, presented oral argument in court and arbitration proceedings, drafted trial court and appellate briefs, and worked with experts on economic damage analyses. Provided pro bono legal services through the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.

Provided management consulting services to Fortune 100 companies in the transportation, energy, telecommunications, steel, aluminum and banking industries. Developed strategic plans based on financial models and statistical analyses of business unit profitability and macroeconomic and market trends. Among other international assignments, worked for several months in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a major oil company developing a management information system for its exploration, production and distribution facilities throughout the country.
