I was raised as a nomad, and traveled from from coast to coast as a young child, which has led to my adaptability in life and creativity.I worked while attending college at WSU, while getting my BFA with an emphasis in oil painting. Then I would go onto help curate an exhibit a lot of gallery showings show casing young talent an teaching them how to set art and lighting non traditional spaces. Then picking up various oil painting commissions an illustration commissions. I also illustrated a version of Crowley's Thoth tarot titled "Pop Americana Thoth," which was turned into a coloring book.For a period of time I focused on refining my illustration style as space and money didn't permit for the cost of oils. During this time I worked on various graphic novels for independent people, which led me to doing story boards for llnnll Records.I was creator and host for the podcast Ripple, distributed on Alterati in 2007-2009, which would be some of the first cultural and art-centered podcasts on the internet.I've returned to podcasting in a new way with my current creative endeavors, which are intended to provoke and provide conversations. I believe in creativity being used to educate and empower the audience, and so I intertwine conversations and narratives in oils paintings and illustration through satire. The Deep Americana podcast has been focused on breaking bad barriers of "isms." The first season delved into mental illness and disability, as well as individual methods of coping.Season two, now being released, delves into immigration, how covid-19 has disrupted lives, and frank discussions on institutional and personal racism. With all of the podcasts I've been involved in the point is the conversation and I tend to move away from scripted formats.
