• Manage project and support activities for a team of remote and on-site Database Systems Engineers supporting primarily DB2 in an HADR multi-site configuration which serves as the OLTP database platform supporting all DSG e-commerce activities. Support activities consisted of troubleshooting reported issues, monitoring, performance tuning, space management.• Coordinated, planned and conducted proofs of concept (POCs) to identify a potential replacement for DB2 as the primary data store for the e-commerce platform in support of Product Teams charged with refactoring Websphere Commerce capabilities into home grown microservices. • Manage project and support activities for a team of shared resource data warehouse developers supporting ETL/ELT processing spanning 3 platforms (Hadoop, Oracle and Netezza) in support of 2,000+ reporting users (Microstrategy, .Net), downstream consuming systems as well as feeds to external partners.• Acting program manager for a Hadoop initiative to remediate technical debt, enhance the performance of existing ETL processing and introduce new data subject areas to the environment.
