Ray M. Cassar – Personal ProfileMr. Ray Cassar was born in Malta on the 26th October 1950. He holds a B.A.(Hons) degree in English Literature and Linguistics and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Malta. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Manchester which he attended as a British Council Scholar. In addition he holds a Certificate in Human Resources Development from the Institute of people Development in London.Throughout his varied career, Mr. Cassar has held various top management positions with a number of foreign and Maltese companies operating in various sectors from Tourism to Manufacturing. He was also one of the Pioneers of the English Language Teaching Industry in Malta and was co-founder of FELTOM, the federation of English Language Schools in Malta. In recent years he has worked as Business Development Manager with the Institute for the Promotion of Small Enterprise (IPSE) and as Business Development Manager with Heritage Malta. Mr. Cassar is a visiting lecturer at the GEA College of Entrepreneurship in Slovenia. He is the author of several papers and publications on SME support and has recently published his first collection of poems in English entitled “The Ship of Clouds” From January 2006 to December 2011 Mr. Cassar assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of Koperattivi Malta -The Organisation of Maltese Co-operatives. he also served as Teacher and Academic Consultant with Chamber College Malta. Currently, he is employed by Identity Malta Agency as an Advisor on Training abd Development. He will be retiring from Identity Malta at the end of 2019 to start working as a private consultant on Training, Development and English Language Teaching.
