Ray was a Principal in BDO HK, Assurance and focuses on providing audit services to sizable listed companies and private companies in Hong Kong. He had extensive experience in auditing companies in various industries, including property development, oil and petrochemicals, telecommunication etc. In addition, Ray provided advices to listed companies in respect of accounting and HK listing rules and other regulations. Before joining BDO HK, Ray was a senior manager in PwC HK, Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services Group focusing on initial public offerings (IPOs), secondary listing, debt offering and other capital market transactions for 6 years. His scope of services includes provision of advisory services in respect of group restructuring/reorganization and accounting and Hong Kong listing rules and other regulations and IPO readiness services. He also acted as a reporting accountant in IPOs and performed procedures in accordance with relevant regulations. He was involved in the issuance of accountant’s reports and other relevant deliverables and communication between IPO applicants and regulators through working closely with other professional parties. Ray was advising public and private companies engaged in a variety of industries, including Media, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, TMT, Real Estate Development, Property Management Services etc. In addition, as a member of the assurance group in PwC HK, Ray provided audit services to listed and private companies for 12 years. They are from various industries including retailing, garment manufacturing, heavy machinery manufacturing, telecommunication, steel making and trading, metals trading etc. Ray is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales ("ICAEW"). Ray is also a holder of a practicing certificate issued by ICAEW. Ray obtained the bachelor degree of BBA (Hons) in Accountancy with a minor in finance from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
