Ray is an Integrative Physiotherapist who transitioned from traditional physiotherapy into an integrated approach marked by training and practice in psychology and mindfulness. Passionate about the holistic treatment of mental and physical illness, in particular, the use of mindfulness-based interventions to manage pain. Firmly believe in the power of the mind to overcome illness and challenges due to the lived experience of pain and professional experience. Ray currently works as an Integrative Practitioner who adopts a holistic approach to pain and injury management, integrating physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Ray ignited his passion for pain management after a traumatic accident halted his career. The accident eventually taught him much more than it took away, as Ray uses his lived/living experiences to inform his practice of integrative health. Ray obtained 2 psychology degrees and a PhD candidature following the accident which has led him to be a leader in the field of pain management.
