I graduated from the University of Otago with Bachelor of Surveying with Distinction in 1991. At University my main area of interest was in early GPS technology. After graduating I worked for Beca in Auckland as a Surveyor and was involved in a wide range of surveying projects from local subdivision and land development to airport, roading and other infrastructure work both domestically and internationally.In 1995 I joined LabSupply Peirce as a Surveying sales and support specialist for Leica products - specialising in GPS. As the sales grew I worked with the company directors to seperate out the Surveying business from Labsupply into standalone company ... Global Survey ... which I managed.In 2001 we sucessfully merged the Global Survey business with Laser Alignment NZ Ltd and I became a shareholder and director of the company ... managing the surveying side of our business.I have since moved into a managing directors role and now run the Construction and Machine Control sides of our business.Specialties: Over 20 years of practical expereince with GNSS technology included post-processing, campaign planning and RTK applications for surveying and machine control.Introduced the first 3D grader control system into New Zealand in 2001 and have specialised in 3D machine control ever since on graders, dozers and excavators.
