ATTACHMENT TO RESUME: Ray Crowell, applicant, has 15 years managerial experience with Crowell Distributing Company, a lawn and garden distributorship established by Roy Crowell in the early 1960’s. Crowell Distributing Company covered 5 states until its closing in 1989. CDC’s sales grossed 4 to 7 million dollars a year, depending on the year, and had approximately 400 accounts. CDC distributed, among many others, Ariens, Lawnboy and Echo products. I, applicant, managed the parts department, which sold $1 million in the best year, for approximately 4 years with three to five people under me. In this department I was responsible for ordering and replenishing parts for equipment and filling & shipping orders for customers. I managed the service department for 3 to 4 years, with 1 to 2 people under me and the remainder of the employment was as warehouse and transportation manager, with 2 to 3 people under my supervision. I was responsible for receiving and shipping as well as displaying the equipment during open house, both in the plant and on the road and was involved in the sale of the equipment. In both departments I was responsible for overseeing and participating in inventory control. As transportation manager, I was responsible for all the routing of the delivery trucks and drivers, as well as the warehouse. I was also involved in sales both at the office and on the road when delivering equipment, as well as open house and Law & Garden Equipment shows.
