Dr. Raymond David has been a toxicologist for over 35 years working in the chemical industry. He received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Louisville, after which he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Chemical Industry Institute of Toxicology in Research Triangle Park. Dr. David worked at Microbiological Associates in Bethesda, Maryland, Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York, and BASF Corp in Florham Park, New Jersey. Dr. David has 25 years experience conducting inhalation, pulmonary, reproductive, and systemic toxicity studies of industrial chemicals and tobacco smoke. He led a team responsible for the safe use and handling of nanomaterials at Eastman Kodak Company, and was responsible for nanotechnology issues at BASF Corporation. In addition, Dr. David worked in the plasticizer industry group for nearly 15 years helping to promote scientific research on phthalate ester toxicity, and advocating decisions based on sound science. He has now retired and is the Principal at David Tox, LLC, a Toxicology Consulting company.
