Technical management and support for leading manufacturer of refined vegetable fats and oils supplied to Major Retailers, Food Manufactures, and Food Service providers. At the time the company was undergoing a challenging period of rapid growth into ingredient manufacturing whilst maintaing its core bulk oils business. This change in strategy required the full overhaul of the technical structure, systems and facilities to align with new customer needs. Work undertaken included a full rewrite, development and training of Quality Policy, Manual and Technical Systems, preparation for and management of two day BRC audit (Grade A achieved) and managing site technical audits from multiple customers.

Manage and build relationships with suppliers to ensure Iceland brand products are food safe, legal and of the required quality. Challenge suppliers to improve, GMP, consistency and improvements in quality whilst minimising cost. Supplier audits, improvement plans and first production approvals.Maintenance of Icehub (Micros) system to develop and approve specifications and ensure relevant quality standards are acceptable and attainable. Extensive travel across both UK and Europe.
