Profile bio

About Ray Etheridge

I am a teacher/professor looking for online tutoring and online teaching opportunities. My primary style of education is in the International Bacchalaureatte style of teaching and based on student involvement, projects and diversification. I believe the best way a teacher should view themselves is that they are a guide to the process of learning in addition to being a content expert. I recently moved to Norfolk, Virginia and be available to start work immediately. Eventually I am looking to return to full time teaching but given the nature of the world right now I am focusing on trying to find online work and build up my own sites and resources. As a teacher I am very progressive and desire to help inspire, enable and support my students. I love learning, prefer open-ended research and project based education. I believe that we need to teach so as to enable students to as[ore to a good growth mindset and center my teaching on civility and mutual respect.
