Ray is a highly respected and experienced professional in the offshore oil and gas industry. He has a unique combination of military discipline, extensive hands-on commercial experience, an entrepreneurial mindset and an extensive network of high calibre contacts within the energy sector locally and internationally. A former Vice President of the Petroleum Club WA, Chairman of the Society of Underwater Technology and member of Subsea Energy Australia.Ray started his career as a Commando with the British Forces then later as an NDT diver in the North Sea which eventually led to supervisory and project management positions in the North Sea, Middle and Far East. His career includes; Company Chairman, Managing Director and Directorships. Ray has his own consultancy and typically takes on assignments where he is embedded in organisations to bring about change and increase market share. One of his most recent projects was as Sub-Sea Program Manager for the 2016 Australian Oil & Gas Conference prior to that working with Modex Energy developing business units in Australia and PNQ. Ray was previously Managing Director of UNITECH Subsea with responsibility for Australia/NZ, Asia and Africa. Ray was Business Development Manager for Land & Marine Technology Systems later sold to Nemo Engineering later sold to Kongsberg. Ray was a Director and Business Development Manager of Hallin Marine. Ray is an articulate and seasoned public speaker and has been a regular presenter to industry groups which includes Engineers Australia, Society for Underwater Technology, the Australian Oil & Gas Convention and as special guest presenter on the Batavia Series of lectures at the Maritime Museum of WA. Ray has been published in industry-based magazines and continues to sit as a panel member on the Innovator of the year awards.Ray won the 2013 Australian Gas Technology Conference "Innovation Award" for his submission the sub-sea chain cleaner.
