I have been the architectural woodwork industry for over 45 years and estimating for 40 of those years. With the time spent with my job, I have learned how to read architectural drawings and perform my estimates. I have negotiated contracts from the thousands of dollars to millions. I enjoy the challenges that always confront me and building a friendship with all I have to work with.

As Chief Estimator I was responsible, at that time, to order in projects that were on Dodge Scan microfilm. I also estimated projects and oversaw the work of three other estimators within our organization. I also was responsible for reviewing changes in projects if they occurred for any impact on our work. I also worked closely with our draftsmen in the submittal process. Since we were in a small town, there would be times of having to travel to a contractors office to go over scope items to negotiate our bid. I also assisted in field measuring projects if needed. It helped put a different perspective of actual field conditions vs. drawings.
