Chief Financial Officer• responsible to the Chairman and the Board• maintain a close working relationship with the Managing Director and College Heads of Campus for all matters of business administration and financial control & planning of the College, including annual budget, cashflow, fees collection, rebates, and payment of accounts and property matters.• required to attend all board meetings and required to submit monthly reports on the operations of the College to provide an insight to the board on the financial position of the College• responsible for the Macro level financial and administrative functions of the College as well as the day-to-day management and good order of the property,• responsible to advise on and implement policies relating to the effective use of personnel within the organisation to ensure that the organisation employs the right balance of staff in terms of skills and experience, and that training and development opportunities are available to employees to enhance their performance and achieve the employer's business aims.• responsible for the business objectives and be able to devise and implement policies which select, develop and retain the right staff needed to meet these objectives.

• Reporting to the Board of Advice for the Kerwee Group, ensuring timely preparation of financial, operating and statutory reports.• Treasury and cash management, including detailed analysis of cash requirements and forecasting. Prepare funding proposals for external finances as required. Monitor and report on funding usage. FX accounting and monitoring.• Prepare, consolidate and distribute corporate profit and loss and balance sheet, analysis and interpretation of results, and preparation of financial and operating statistical reports to provide a basis for management planning, operating controls and performance appraisal.• Statutory reporting.• Preparation, review and implementation of cashflow, operating and capital expenditure budgets.• Analysing capital expenditure requirements and proposals.• Manage payroll for the Group, including superannuation, payroll tax and associated reporting to relevant bodies.• Designing, implementing and maintaining computer based systems. • Development of management reporting systems and accounting methods to improve procedures and communication of management information.• Management of clerical staff and office administration.

Responsible for• Monthly performance reviews and timely preparation and distribution of all finance reports as required.• Preparation, administration and monitoring of Departmental budgets, including cash flow.• Development and maintenance of financial systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of all data.• Timely, appropriate and cost effective development of management information systems.• Control, reporting and monitoring of Risk Management and adherence to Board Policy.• To be involved in development of Strategic plans of the Division and the Co-operative through planning, organising and monitoring adequacy of resources. • The co-ordination of the achievement of detailed objectives of staff.To assist in carrying out the above functions, I had a staff of 14 personnel. Included in the above duties was responsibility for Grower Payments, Co-operative and Pool Accounting, as well as transaction processing and recording of Treasury functions of Foreign Currency and Commodity Futures.My experience in systems design and installation resulted in my being given the task of writing the requirements definition manual for the new “Trading System” which encompassed Purchase and Sales Contract Administration, Grower Payments, Customer Invoicing, Stock Control, Position Monitoring and Market to Market Evaluations.
