Maintenance Manager
CurrentResponsible for all maintenance activities for Birla Carbon’s Carbon Black North Bend plant. Team consists of Mechanical Techs, I&E Techs, Special Projects, Reliability Engineers, Scheduler/Planner, DCS System, and critical spare inventory. Responsible for the reliable operation of Carbon Black reactors and ancillary equipment, heat exchangers, bag collectors, dryers, bead boxes, multiple type of conveyance systems, blowers, boiler systems, Cogen generation, cooling towers, a multitude of pumping systems, air compressor systems, incinerators, NOX & SOX equipment, and DCS system.Responsible for root cause failure analysis coordination, lessons learned program, construction optimization feedback loop, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) refinement, critical spares strategy improvements, preventive maintenance standard operating procedures and corrective maintenance procedures. Focused on implementing process efficiencies and cultivating high performing teams using skills in Lean Manufacturing techniques, contract negotiations, vendor management, budgets, compliance, materials management, critical spare inventory refinements, implementation & execution of projects and turnarounds, logistics, and workplace safety. Concentrate on identifying, developing, implementing, and auditing Birla's maintenance programs. This will ensure that best practices are adhered to in an effort to always conduct business as a responsible, prudent operator. We will abide by all regulatory requirements and, at the same time, focus on increasing reliability, reducing downtime, exhibiting exceptional customer service (inside & outside the company), and helping increase the plant's profitability. A member of the plant's leadership team consisting of Safety, Environmental, Quality, Operations, Maintenance, HR, and Accounting/Procurement. Play a key role in project coordination, team collaboration, and workforce optimization.
