First qualified as a safety and health professional in 1984. Worked as a project safety manager on large iconic projects involving both UK and oversees staff. I have an event management and event health and safety practice, together with my projects in small and medium company support. I have extensive experience in managing Local Authority SAG & Licensing Application, Contractor Approval, Event/Show Planning, Process Mapping and Risk Identification, Risk Assessment for Events and Serious Incident Management Leader.Current Projects include advising a number of small and medium businesses in the leisure and agricultural industries, including HR Philpot & Sons [Barleylands) Ltd, Directors and Management of British Eventing. I have in the past worked with British Show Jumping & British Dressage, Magna Carta 800 Runnymede, Patrons Lunch [HM Queen anniversary celebration, Central London], Longines Global Champions Tour – London 2013, 2014 and 2015, AELTC Championships working with both AELTC and Wimbledon Park Golf Club on the Championships build from 2014 to 2019, Blenheim International Horse Trials [12 years], Bramham International Horse Trials [13 years], The Festival of British Eventing [Gatcombe Park], Chatsworth International Horse Trials as well as Littleton Manor Equestrian Centre. I currently offer a support role for the membership of The National Farm Attractions Network and also the Chilterns Neurological Centre. I was particularly privileged to be asked to provide the lead safety and health services to the Patrons Lunch which was held on the Mall in June 2016. the Patrons Lunch was a celebration of Her Majesty the Queen 90th birthday and attracted over 10,000 invited persons plus the mass public attendance in Green Park, St James Park and the surrounding roads. Reporting directly to the Group Director of Safety and also the Main Board of Directors, I specialised in the advising and implementations of safe systems of work and also specialist safety training , in the in Civil Engineering and Construction Division. Duties involved: - Major projects safety management [including Sizewell B Power Station and the Aust Tower Severn Bridge Refurbishment]. - Major accident and incident investigations – compiling reports to main board level.- Devise and deliver training programmes for Project Management, Task Management, Staff Management and Site Control. - Devise and deliver a series of lectures to the industry lead training and associations in conjunction with the HSE. Also- Health and Safety Adviser to the Youth Employment Training Scheme - Company Representative on the CONIAC working party for CDM Implementation- Company Representative on the CITB Industry Advisory Working Party for Management Training- Lecturer on Risk Management and Prevention.
